In your email there are call times for each routine competing! A call time is when your dancer is in the dressing room, with hair and makeup done and ready to warm-up. Competitions may run ahead of time, that is why we have an early call time!

-The studio is open for all classes Tuesday thru Thursday! If your dancer has a modified schedule, your teacher will let you know your dancer's class time!
-There is a rehearsal for Ms. Emily's Hip Hop "Ratata" on Wednesday April 24th, from 7-8pm. Each dancer must bring their costumes completed with all proper undergarments, to dance in! Any questions about the costume call the desk!
April 2024
We hope everyone enjoyed their time off, and we cannot wait to get back into the studio! There will be important information that will be released throughout the month of April, be sure to check back often to ensure you do not miss a thing!
In10sity and Empire Dance Competitions

-A mandatory parent meeting will be held on on Sunday April 7, at 4pm!
If you can not attend the meeting, be sure to check in with your instructor the following week for information!
-All dancers must attend a complete run through of all routines competing, on April 13 and 14th (times TBA.) Time sheets will be handed out during the Sunday meeting!
-On Sunday, April 14, important information will be distributed regarding both competitions. Information sheets will list call times which are the times the dancer needs to be in the dressing room, with hair and make up done, and the estimated performance time. Competitions often run ahead of schedule so it is critical to be on time! be sure to make sure your dancer get the information sheet!

Mandatory blocking rehearsal for all competing dancers!
AMERICAN LEGION Post [3354 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217]
The rehearsal will be held from 5- 10pm, a schedule will be released shortly. Parents can drop off and pick up at the side door, in the parking lot.
Competition stages are larger than our studio space, so it is imperative that the dancers have an opportunity to dance in the exact size that they will be performing on.
Calling all Prop Dads
This is an extremely important duty, and we are asking if you would consider helping out with props this year. Responsibilities include picking the props up from the studio, dropping them off at the venue as well as setting them on stage and removing them!
If picking them up and dropping them off is not an option, but you would like to help set props and remove them from the stage please let us now! A list will be started at the desk, please put down your name and phone number.
A Rehearsal schedule will be given to the prop dad's. We will be rehearsing where the props need to be placed. Thank you in advance for your support!
Costume Add Ons
There is a additional charge for all production dancers of $25.
Ms.Debbies Comp Acro, there is a additional $10 costume add on.
Additional charges may be paid with your April tuition.
Spring Concert 2024 and Performance Fee Package!
Important Performance Fee Package will be available for pick up at the desk starting Wednesday April 10th! Please read through the entire packet!
YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR FORMS AND PACKAGE AT THE DESK! This way we know everyone received their forms. We ask all forms to be returned as soon as possible! Exact due date will be on the form.
Costume Pick Up
Costumes will distributed starting this week, all unpaid balances will result in your dancer not receiving their costumes. Be sure to make sure your account is up to date!

This is an extremely exciting time of the year for all of us. Please read all the information in its entirety.
Comp Fees
Comp fees are now past due! In order to register all fees must be paid in full ASAP! You may call the studio and pay over the phone if you can not make it in.
Spring Break
The studio will be closed for spring break starting Friday, March 29th through Saturday, April 6th, 2024. We will reopen Monday, April 8th. If your dancer is in a competition class, they will be notified if they have class during that week!
Important Dates
The following dates are mandatory for competition dancers, exact times TBA;
-Saturday April 13, rehearsal at the studio.
-Sunday April 14th, rehearsal at the studio
-Monday April 15th, rehearsal and parent meeting.
-Wednesday April 17, rehearsal at the studio.

It is very important that dancers are present at every rehearsal, this ensures you dancer is prepared before they step on the stage.
February 2024
Greetings, Dance Project family,
It's hard to believe we're already into a second month of 2024.
There's a lot of important information in this email so please be sure to read it in its entirety.
Friday Acro
All of Ms. Debbie's Friday acro classes for February 9th are canceled and will be rescheduled. The date and times to be announced.
There is still hip hop and musical theater!
Winter Break
They Studio will be closed for winter break Monday, February 19 and re-open on Saturday, February 24. We will reopen Saturday as a makeup class for the studio being closed for competition in April.
If your child is in a competition class, they will have class. If you will not be in town during winter break, please tell your child's teacher ASAP. Stop at the desk if you are unsure if your dancer will have class.
Specialty Dances
It is imperative that all specialty routines are paid in full. Costumes cannot be ordered for these routines until all bills are up to date. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Attendance
Before you know it, it will be Competiton and annual our spring concert.
It is imperative that all dancers attend their regularly scheduled classes, unless they are sick. If they are not contagious, and do not have a fever, it is advised that your child come to class and sit to be able to mentally see and learn the material. If your child is not attending, please call the studio and leave a message as to the reason why they will not be in class. It is best if a phone call is made as opposed to an email in this regard.
Competition Fees
Competition bills will be handed out starting Monday February 12th.
Please be sure your dancers hand you the bill to avoid late fees.
Empire fees are due 3/1, In10sity fees are due 3/9.
There is a late fee added onto fees not paid on time.
For Empire, a $30 late fee will be added on any bill paid starting 3/2.
For In10sity, a $30 late fee will be added on any bill paid starting 3/10.
Paying bills on time ensures your dancer has a spot in the competition. Both competitions are sold out, there is no wiggle room for late payments.

Happy new year!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and healthy holiday, we have a wonderful year planed for 2024 and can not wait to share it all with you!
Accounts
Accounts that are past due have a late fee added to them of $20 per month. In order for your dancer to continue lessons all accounts must be up to date by Saturday January 6th. Help us to help you, to avoid us from having to hold your child out of class. Please contact the desk for balances.

Dance Project will be CLOSED Monday January 15!
Inclement Weather
For studio closures due to inclement weather, please check our Facebook/ instagram page after 2 PM, or channel 2 ,4 and 7 for closures.
If your child must miss class for any reason whatsoever, please contact the studio to inform the teachers that your child will be out. Please do not send an email to ensure the teacher gets the information on time!
Spring Concert News
We are so excited to announce that our 32st annual Spring concert will be held at Flickinger Performing Arts Center. The theater is located on the Nichols School Campus in North Buffalo.The performance will be Saturday June 15, dress rehearsal on Friday June 14, with blocking rehearsal the week of. More information to come!
Competition News
Competition Fees will be available in the beginning of February!
A bill will be given out to each family. Please return with payment before the due date written.
Specialty Routines
For all those that have signed up for a specialty, scheduling choreography sessions has begun. If your child is still interested and has not been given a start date contact the studio as soon as possible. Bills will be given out within the next week for the specialty routines.
All specialty payment must be paid in full by January 31, 2024!

Congratulations to all dancers that participated in Roswell’s Tree Lighting 2023, the holiday cheer is bright and we cannot wait for the new year at Dance Project. We have a lot planned for the up coming year, and cannot wait to share.
As we get closer to the end of the year we just wanted to remind everyone that all accounts must be current and up to date to continue to dance. To avoid any late fees, please arrange a payment before Thursday December 21. The studio will be open every night until 7:30pm, please stop by or make a phone payment while the studio is open.
Reminder if a specialty was started, the rest of the payment is due. If your child has signed up for a specialty, the deposit is due to start the routine in the new year.
Competition Team Holiday Party
Will be held on Sunday, December 17, from 2-4 PM. Please bring a gift exchange for your secret Santa, info will be given out throughout the week. the gift limit is $10, if you cannot make the party please let Ms. Darlene know ASAP.
This party will be for combo 5 and up. The Mini holiday party will be held on Saturday December 16 from 11:30-12pm, info will be given out this Saturday.
Holiday Break
The studio will be closed for holiday break from Friday, December 22 through Monday, January 1. The studio will reopen on Tuesday, January 2.
Class holiday parties with gift exchange
The following classes will participate in a holiday gift exchange;
Ms. Dem’s 9-10 am Saturday Tap class.
Ms. Dem’s 10-11:30 am Combo 2 Class
Ms. Dem’s 11:30-1pm Combo 3 Class
Ms. Pearl’s 10- 11:30 Combo 4 Class
We ask each dancer to bring a $5. gift to be passed around at the end of class. The gift exchange will be on Saturday December 16.

UPDATED*****2023 Roswell Tree of Hope!
-The event will take place Wednesday, December 6th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM in Roswell Park’s Kaminski Park and Gardens. All are welcome to attend.
-Dancers must meet in front of the ‘Main Entrance’ (see map) of Kaminski Park, to the left of the Hospitals main entrance, at 2:45pm!
-Dancers will arrive in costume and with hair and makeup done.
-Please do not bring valuables, any items must be given to you parents.
-We will block all routines before the event, from 3-3:30pm.
-‘Sleigh Ride’ (Ms. Darlene’s Thursday Adv Class) will preform around 4pm, behind the cast of Channel 2 News.
Between 4:30-5:55pm the other two routines will preform, in between the other Tree Lighting acts. 'Jingle Bell Rock’ (Ms. Kaitlin's Wed class) will preform first around 4:50pm. ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree’ (Ms. Darlene’s Tue Class) will be Dance Project’s final routine, around 5:22pm. Schedule may change due to Channel 2.
Dancers will stay with Ms. Darlene until they preform, they may leave after Last Dance Project Number is done dancing.
-Please pick up your dancer near the main entrance, after they perform. Each dancer must check in with either Ms. Darlene or Ms. Cheryl before they leave.
-This a free event and open to all who want to come cheer on and support our dancers, as well as Roswell’s tree lighting. Please bring extra Bobbi pins and safety pins!
-Free parking is available for you in the Roswell Park parking ramp. Please keep in mind that roads will close beginning at 4:00 PM.

It's hard to believe it’s already November, and the holidays are right around the corner. Please read this email in it's entirety!
Class Schedule Changes
Wednesday;
-Ms. Emily 's Wednesday ballet, will now be 5:00-6:00pm [original class time of 4:30-5:30pm]
-Ms. Emily ’s mini musical theater, will be 6:00-7:00pm
[original class time of 5:30-6:30pm]
-Ms. Emily's intermediate musical theater, will now be 7:00-8:00pm [original class time of 6:30-7:30pm]
New class times will go into effect starting Wednesday, November 8th.
Friday;
-Ms. Emily 's Friday mini hip-hop, will now be 5:30-6:30pm [original class time of 4:30-5:30pm]
-Ms. Emily's intermediate hip-hop, will now be meeting on Saturdays, 2:30-3:30 PM [original class time of Friday 5:30-6:30pm]
New class times will go into effect starting Friday, November 3rd.
Any questions on new class time please stop at the desk, thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Studio Closing
The studio will be closed for Thanksgiving break from Monday November 20 through and including, Saturday November 25. The studio will reopen on Monday November 27!
If you are doing a specialty and not traveling for the holiday, Ms Darlene will be scheduling rehearsal and choreography time. Please let her know if you will not be in town ASAP.
Please check the Studio Facebook page after 2 PM to see if the studio is closed due to inclement weather.
We will also be listed on channel 2, channel 4, and channel 7. Always check the Facebook page in addition to either the channel scrolling or website listings. On occasion when the news channels are inundated with multiple closings, it may take a bit for our listing to be shown. Please note that the safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff is always our main concern.
Class Attendance
If for any reason, your child cannot come to class, please call the studio snd give their name, class, and reason for not attending. Please do not send an email, sometimes emails are seen after class times. If your child is not contagious and can come and sit and watch class, it would be extremely helpful for them.
Costume Deposits
Costume deposits are due during the month of November. Please check at the desk for your costume balances. Late costume balances are subject to a late fee.
Save the date
Dance Project will be performing once at the Roswell Park Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony, Wednesday December 6! The event is free and gets everyone in the holiday spirt, more info to come!

OCTOBER 2023
Greetings Dance Project family,
Please welcome our new Dance Project families, and welcome back our returning families! The joy and gratitude felt by the Dance Project faculty and staff as our dancers entered the studio for our new season was incredible. Classes reunited eager to be together once again. It’s going to be an exciting year at Dance Project!
All families can stay up to date, right here, on our update page! If your dancer is apart of our competition team, please check on the ‘Competition’ page to read all important competition updates, and view the production rehearsals, updated weekly!
Try a class for free!
Through out the month of October, Dance Project has an exciting program where a dancer may try a class for free for the entire month of October! This is a wonderful opportunity for your dancer to try a new subject, especially if they have expressed interest. Great classes to try and add on are Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acro and new this year Musical Theater! Please stop at the desk to see all options available for your dancer. If your dancer would like to join the class for the rest of the year, please let the desk know before the end of October.

In the month of October rehearsal fee is due stop at the desk to see your due amount
Class Attendance

Competition Team
Our first meeting for our competition team was held on Saturday, September 30. If you were not able to attend the meeting, please stop by the desk to pick up the information that was distributed.
We would like to welcome Miss Pearl's Saturday Combo 4 class, and Ms. Demiana's Saturday 3 class to our team.
Ms. Demiana 's class will have their meeting on Saturday October 7th at 1pm.
Dance Project Calendar
The studio will be closed on Monday, October 9, in observation of Columbus Day, and Tuesday October 31 for Halloween!

New Shoes
If you have purchased new shoes for your child, please do not put their name in them, until they are approved by their teacher. They cannot be returned if their name is in the shoe.
Faculty
We would like to welcome back, Kaitlin Haefner-Adams, Katie "Pearl' Bauman, Debbie Blatner-Molloy, Demiana Ceglia, Kaleigh Januchowski, and Emily Yanik!
We are thrilled to welcome back, Donatella Oppenheimer, a exquisite ballet instructor, who is no stranger to Dance Project.
Competition News
We will be holding a mandatory competition meeting on Saturday September 30 at 2:30 PM. All dancers and parents must be in attendance. Reminder notices will be sent out during class to our competing classes. More information to come.
We are one of the only studios that do not audition to be apart of our competition team. We believe our dancers are a part of a team, representing everyone.
We do however, require all dancers competing to take ballet. Ballet is the foundation for all dance, it is imperative for each and every dancer to be enrolled in a ballet class. You will be contacted if your dancer is not enrolled in a ballet class, and it will be added on. Any question please stop at the desk.
Is your dancer interested in trying something new, ask at the desk about adding on a class! We have new classes for our little ones!

CONGRATULATIONS TO DANCE PROJECT’S
COMPETITION TEAM, EARNING THE TITLE OF
‘EMPIRE DANCE CHALLENGE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!’
Dance Project received the highest scoring routine in both uptown (‘The Will”), and downtown division (“Shine on Your Shoes”)
Dance Project was the over all top scoring studio of the whole competition!
Performers of the year contestants Ava Philippone (senior) and Cecilia Jones (teen) were crowned runners-up for performer of the year in their age division!
Congratulations to Ella Marciano for being crowned Performer of the Year in the Jr. Division!
We could not be more proud of each and everyone of our dancers!
